Home Groups are the primary way we love, encourage, and care for one another (Romans 12:10, Galatians 5;13, 6:2, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Hebrews 10:23-24).
Home Groups meet every other week in homes on a weeknight for 1½ - 2 hours in various locations in Owasso and the Tulsa area. Our main objective is to cultivate friendship and mutual care for one another, building close relationships so that we can better minister to one another’s physical and spiritual needs.
Each home group meeting includes a time of group discussion of a Scriptural topic or passage, sharing of individual struggles and joys, prayer, and open conversation. Some groups also share meals together, incorporate music, or engage in local or foreign ministry.
The leader of each home group is assigned by and accountable to the elders of the church for spiritual oversight of group meetings and the physical and spiritual needs of each individual in the group.
We encourage every person at BCO to make a commitment to join a Home Group as a means of obeying Christ’s commands to personally love and care for one another.
